Program still appears in Start menu after deleting it due to remaining shortcut.
Cause:
The program item listed in the 'Start' menu is only a shortcut. When the original file is deleted, the shortcut still remains.
Solution:
Select 'Taskbar...' and click 'Remove' on the 'Start Menu Programs' tab.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select the 'Settings' menu and select 'Taskbar...'. (The 'Taskbar Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click 'Remove...'. (The 'Remove Shortcuts/Folders' dialog box appears.)

5) Select the item to be removed from the 'Remove Shortcuts/Folders' list box.
6) Click 'Remove'.
